The Mwendo Needy Children & Orphans Project [also called MNCOP] was formed and operates in the Mwendo area of the Kabale District, Uganda. MNCOP cares for 500 needy children with the aim of preserving the life and promoting the well-being of orphans and needy children in the Mwendo area.

The primary income source of MNCOP is cash donations given by tourists. MNCOP also receives limited support and enjoys a constructive relationship with the local school and church.
